The Sport:

BANGO is the world’s first sport to simulate real hunting using both real shotgun shells and a highflying synthetic target bird.

Remote controlled launchers simulate real hunting by projecting a special synthetic bird designed to stand up to a real shotgun blast.  The BANGO target, a biodegradable balloon that incorporates powder and feathers, explodes upon impact in an exciting visual display that tells the shooter he hit the target.  The rest of the target (soft bird shape) survives the shot and falls to the ground so that your dog can retrieve it. 

BANGO is a wonderfully entertaining way to train both birddog and hunter; a must for Hunting Clubs looking for a year-round synthetic bird hunting operation.

In the past century trainers used handheld dummy launchers or gun mounted launchers to teach young and advanced dogs.  Pro and amateur trainers soon learned that this method created many permanent behavior problems including:

• Gun Shy Dogs – Many young dogs have been ruined permanently by launching a hand launcher to close to the dog. The ROBO remote manual launcher allows for adequate distance to not frighten the dog while linking gun shot with retrieving excitement.
• Look at Owner Complex – Once a dog is conditioned to a hand launcher he will always look at the owner not at the sky, affecting his ability to learn to mark a falling bird.  Positioning the launcher on the ground solves this problem.
• Marking – This is a learned ability to mark or locate a fallen bird. Any device launched from the handler produces a chase instinct rather than a marking skill.
• Dog Control – Hand held launchers require two hands for operation. ROBO is easily triggered remotely allowing for a free hand and the ability to correct the dog if required.
• Safety – All launchers must be handled like a firearm for safe operation. However the fact ROBO is operated remotely solves handheld recoil safety and close range operation.
